About the Team

LaSalle Floral Design is owned by a soon-to-be married couple with two very different, complimentary skill sets:

Devon LaSalle, "The Designer"

Devon is a florist with years of experience throughout all facets of the trade. Growing up gardening with her father in the United States, she has always has a fascination with flowers. Having been an "artsy" type her entire life, flowers have continually played a starring role in Devon's artwork. Devon first fell in love with floristry during a hobby course. She quit her office job, studied hard and gained an accredited qualification in floristry from Box Hill TAFE in 2007. During this time, she had the honour of winning second prize in the Box Hill TAFE Open Day Competition sponsored by Interflora. After refining her skills in a number of Melbourne florist shops, Devon decided to focus her talents solely on weddings.

Jeff Cheah, "The Engineer"

Jeff has always had a passion for structure and design. His childhood years spent playing with moulding clay, construction sets and Meccano sets eventually inspired him to gain an accredited qualification in engineering. Jeff also has a keen interest in business management, and spent many years mentoring new engineering graduates on handling the "outside world". Having worked for a number of multi-national companies, Jeff is welcoming the transition into wedding floristry and is looking forward to finally combining his engineering background with his natural flair for design.

Devon and Jeff enjoy being able to assist couples with creating the wedding of their dreams. They believe that the more passion artists have for their art, the better the finished product will be. They are constantly researching new techniques, paying attention to the latest trends and "having a go" at new ideas so they can provide the best possible products and services to their clients.
